Observations and Opinions
on This and That

1.         The Talk                                                                                                       1

But other generations never had pictures of half naked people posed for the highest degree of physical attractiveness constantly on their desks, tables, and stages like your generation does. And no other generation or culture has devoted so much of their daily time to popular media.

2.         My Story                                                                                                      9

3.         The Jesus Story                                                                                         15

4.         The Church Story                                                                                      24

5.         The Bible and the Church                                                                         39

Whether Adam and Eve were the first man and woman created by God on the sixth day of His only project, or they were the first apes to realize they could use cloths, or they were the first successful test tube baby earthlings, or they are just characters in an old story, they have no bearing on how we should be treating each other or how we should be creating our society.

6.         Other Religions                                                                                         52

It’s time for people to abandon hatred and war and poverty and to embrace cooperation and peace and abundance. And it can be done, if more people would choose Love instead of fear and greed, if more people would believe in Love instead of their religion or their political party or the stock market.

7.         Relationships and Sex                                                                               63

Most often a parent’s love for his or her children is an unconditionally loving relationship. Unfortunately, in trying to teach you and motivate you, we too frequently appear to put conditions on our love. But that is usually because we failed to explain our thinking properly, maybe due to time constraints or due to our misread assumptions. Many of us just don’t know how to balance our unconditional love with the conditions of raising a child.

Actually, the most attractive part of the human body is a happy, friendly, confident, smile. Standing tall with a genuine smile makes anyone attractive, regardless of how they are dressed or otherwise presented.

8.         The United States of America                                                                   80

Instead of using the unprecedented worldwide support to create a civilization built on cooperation and trust, our president and the people that run his administration steered our country’s military and treasury into, not just a violent response, and not just a quick war of punishment or revenge, but, an indefinite war; a perpetual war. Their plans, designed way before 9/11, are for war at least for the rest of their lives, and longer if they can fix it.

9.         Conspiracies                                                                                              95

In hindsight, we see that the Bush administration lied to us about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, and misled us about Iraq’s involvement in 9/11. We know that the Neo-cons, as Bush’s advisors are called, were looking for a new Pearl Harbor to implement their grand plan for control of the Middle East as outlined years earlier in their documents associated with the Project for a New America (PNAC). We know this long-term plan relies on a regime change in Iraq, and then Iran, and specifically provides for the control of oil in the region by transnational corporations.

10.       The Not Federal Bank                                                                            111

But just like most Americans believe Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11, most Americans think the Federal Reserve Bank is part of the United States government. But it’s not, other than controlling it. And, it has very minimal reserves in relation to the size of its transactions. However, its owners and administrators and associates have incredible assets.

11.       Oil’s Enemies                                                                                          123

I wonder how many more freedoms have to be lost before people realize we aren’t a democracy. I wonder how many more people have to suffer before we realize society’s beliefs and assumptions, and our government’s agendas and perspectives, are seriously, perversely wrong.

12.       The Power of Prohibition                                                                        135

The politicians and weapons merchants have used this prohibition to grow the enforcement and detention businesses into a $40 billion industry; an industry nurtured by bureaucrats whose pay and advancement depend on evermore arrests of the country’s citizens. Yet the average high school kid could probably obtain a bag of pot and other drugs within an hour of school letting out for the day, if not sooner. Ironically it would probably take the average adult a week or more to buy some.

13.       The New America Matures                                                                   155

14.       Business Alliances and a Few Stirred-up Muslims                              171

What I am pointing out is just pieces of a huge puzzle, stuff that fills in gaps in my understanding of events and reasons. There are so many other pieces, which as I’ve indicated before, are hidden from us, or are ignored by those sources we trust to give us our information, or are even mundane and common occurrences and practices that just blend into the fabric of daily living without care or consideration.

15.       Just Friends                                                                                            186

Elections are worthless if we allow these mega corporations to set policy. But when the policies enable such suffering and destruction while fabulously enriching such a small percentage of affected people, the situation is beyond obscene and demands a review in every citizen’s conscience.

16.       Partners or Enemies? Fuel the Fire and Look the Other Way            203

17.       The Setup                                                                                                220

18.       September 11, 2001                                                                                230

So on the precise day that this desert dweller Osama picks to pull off the biggest surprise attack since the Trojan horse, our homeland defenses are all involved in exercises around the nation that cause confusion when the real McCoy shows up. Four commercial planes took overlapping turns wandering around a few of our Mid-Atlantic States for almost two hours, immune from any contact from our fighters, or from any other part of our great and very, very expensive Defense Department or its corporate supplied equipment.

19.      The New Paradigm                                                                                  243

Everybody was a little guilty but, as the media often reminds us, Watergate taught America that we don’t like our leaders to be embarrassed by bringing up their crimes. So we’ll just pretend its Hussein’s fault. I mean bin Laden. I mean, well … it’s all those terrorists’ fault.

20.       So                                                                                                            266

The commission to investigate the tragedy, compromised from the start, instead contributed to the cover-up, and hid the crimes behind the cloak of official finality. The new war on terrorism shouted down any questions of reason, common sense, or decency. And Truth was brushed off as trivial and passé.

21.      Our Choice                                                                                              277

We, the United States of America, have to stop war. We, the United States of America, have to lead the rest of the planet into a future of peace and cooperation and abundance, and that has to begin with ourselves. We have to elect leaders who will put the earth and its inhabitants before their own selfish interests and those of their unethical and immoral friends.

22.      What It Is                                                                                                295

We are ready for evolution - the universal experience of the Christhood. Not apocalypse and the Rapture and the second coming of Jesus; but the evolvement into the Christ consciousness, and heaven on earth.
